You are waiting for a big interview, and suddenly you are short of breath, sweaty, and experience a feeling of uneasiness.

Don’t worry!

That is normal, and there is nothing to worry about. As a matter of fact, that was your body reacting to a stressful situation. But long-term problems or stressors may cause severe anxiety issues that affect you mentally and physically.

Social Anxiety Disorder

social phobia is another name for social anxiety disorder. You get worried over or react to common everyday situations. You get embarrassed and cautious easily, and there is a strong feeling of self-consciousness where you don’t want to face people.

Phobias:

Phobia is an extreme and unreasonable fear of something. It may be the fear of mouse, height, containment, or it may be the people around you.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

In generalized anxiety disorder, you may get worried or anxious over small and everyday matters without any specific reason.

Panic Attack

It is similar to a heart attack, where you breathe rapidly, start sweating, choke, and have an unusual and strong heartbeat along with chest pain.

What are the Symptoms of an Anxiety Disorder?

How do you know if you’re suffering from an anxiety disorder? If you suffer from the following conditions daily, then you are suffering from an anxiety disorder,

  • Panic, stress, and uneasiness
  • Sweaty and cold hands and/or feet
  • Shortness of breath and dizziness
  • Dry mouth
  • Nausea
  • Irregular heartbeats
  • Sleeping disorders

How do you get over the anxiety issues?

In today’s fast-moving world, everyone has tons of problems that can cause severe anxiety issues. I have some simple habits that will make your life better and more relaxed.

1. Take a Walk

Go out to walk in the fresh air. Let your mind wander to places and think about things that relax you. I think this is the best therapy one could have (and absolutely free ;). One long walk can help you with many mental and physical issues that you may not realize that you have!

It helped me over and over again.

It’s like medicine without any side effects.

3. Talk to a Friend

Everything can be forgotten by just spending time with someone you love and care about.

Having coffee with a dear friend is often all that you need. Discuss your problems and issues over a cup of tea or coffee. No doctor or medication can relax you and make you feel comfortable the way a friend can.

3. Face Your Fear!

Most problems that we face are because we think that the problem is bigger than us.

Well, NO!

It is Not!

Everything can be sorted; every problem can be discussed; every issue can be resolved!

All you need to do is face the problem at hand, rather than just hiding or running away from it.

Stop!! Take a deep breath, be brave, and face your fear.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Speak Up

Are you afraid that if you talk about something, you might end up hurting someone? And you don’t talk about it! You think about it over and over, but you’re just too afraid to do anything about it.

Overthinking is not taking you anywhere, neither helping anyone. Try talking about it in an open and friendly environment. I promise you will feel better afterward ;)

5. Sort Out The Stressors

As a matter of fact, there is always one thing or another keeping your mind occupied at all the time, leading towards anxiety. Sometimes, you realize that it wasn’t such a big deal. DON’T OVERTHINK!

The issue must be resolved, take a seat, do a brainstorming session, and sort out the problem. You’re going to feel a lot better.

6. Take a Vacation

Going on a vacation can have a great impact on your mood and health. Go to a hill station, relax and enjoy for a while and COME ON…

Let it be!

7. Work on Your Problems

Sort out the knots in your mind, the things keeping your mind occupied. Make a place for healthy thoughts and feelings and kick out the stuff polluting your mind.

8. Try Meditation

Meditation is one of the best ways to let go of stress and relax. Go to an open space; let your body breathe, and clear your mind. Exercise and meditation keep both your body and mind healthy.

8. Consult a Psychiatrist

You can’t solve everything, and a little bit of help is all you need!

Don’t hesitate! Consult a psychiatrist before the problem gets any bigger. Don’t let the negative statements hold you from becoming your best selves.

Let’s Fight Against Anxiety!

The life we are leading has a lot and a lot of stressors. There are problems everywhere, from a road jam to financial or health issues, and they will always be there.

So, for starters, don’t be afraid.. everyone is facing problems, and everything will get better in time. All you need to do is to be braver and better.

Take over your fear and don’t let it take you over ;)
